I really need to catch up on this blog/family journal. I have so many things to write about: goodbyes, youth conference, driving cross country (and catching up with a dear old friend), and settling in to our new home. I have to say that we REALLY love Colorado already. Our home, town, neighbors, church congregation are all incredible. People have been so incredibly warm, welcoming and inviting. I can tell that we are going to love it and love raising a family here.
However, for some odd reason whenever I go to blog I see pictures of friends and places we left behind and my heart aches. The crazy thing is that I feel like I am constantly turning to Mike and saying "I really think we are going to love it here." But my heart still aches a little for home and friends.

While there are many exciting, appealing things about moving, I don't envy the transition you are all having to make between the homes where you feel your heart is.
NE misses you too! I drove by your house the other day, and my heart felt really empty. I love NE and Boston but all the goodbyes are getting heavy on my heart!! I hope you all will love your new home and that as time goes by Colorado will start to feel like home! NE will never be the same without you guys!
Glad to hear you are enjoying Colorado. Christine Gilbert told me it is easier if you get really involved in the new town. Not being as involved in Boston. It is a hard place to leave behind. I still find it hard.
